This story happened in real life. Untill the ICAO/IATA comes with real conclusions, we don't know what happened, and when it happened. My side of the story is just for comedy-relief.


The boy with the doom eyes. It's say that whenever this boy looks at something, the subject will meet it's doom, sooner or later. A cup of coffee, a laptop, camera lenses even airplanes can't resist the doom eye.

Last week the boy traveled back from his vacation. With him he took a big suitcase with camera gear. He closely inspected two of the lenses, and hours later, he would get them back through the luggage reclaim: Completely destroyed.

Cause: The boy with the doom eyes.

Yesterday, the Boy With the doom Eyes was as usual, working on Schiphol Amsterdam Airport, making sure luggage would get delivered at the right aircraft. At one point, he got called for help, to help unloading luggage onto the luggage-reclaim belts. He and a colleague drove up to an Aircraft, but arrived to early, Luggage still had to be unloaded.

Waiting inside the truck, he inspected an British Airways BEA146 aircraft, that was just being pushed back.
After a few minutes of waiting, 2 carts of luggage was attached. Just as they drove off, the walkie-talkie crackled: "After you guys are done, The boy with the Doom Eyes can go home."

So it was done. The luggage got unloaded, the BAE146 took off, and the Boy left home, to get back 2 hours later.
1.5 hour later, the BAE146 was on final approach, to crash land on London City Airport EGLC.
